Our new and exciting venue, The Sinclair of Skaneateles.

We are hoping to create a memorable experience in our extraordinary setting. We are located at the beautiful historic old Sinclair Chair Factory built in 1871 on Skaneateles Creek. With gorgeous views and attention to historic detail, our goal is to produce a unique setting to create memories of a lifetime. Guests have all day access, will be the only event occurring in our facility that day, and have 100% of our attention! We are only 1.9 miles from the center of Skaneateles village. The Sinclair can accommodate up to 200 plus guests. Enjoy our beautiful fireplace inside or our outdoor fire-pit on the patio by the water. We look forward to meeting with you and holding your special event at the Sinclair.

It all started...

In 1871 Francis Sinclair built what was known as the Sinclair Chair Factory which continued making chairs under his care until 1901 when it was sold to John Allen who continued the business under the name Sinclair-Allen Chair Works. John Allens son later carried on the business and combined Sinclair-Allen Chair Works and Mottville Chair works under the name Mottville Chair Works. Eventually the buildings were purchased by Dave Mazzeo who lovingly cared for the buildings for 20 years. Continuing on to today the Sinclair buildings are now owned by Bob and Pat Carberry, their four sons, and Dave and Kelly Engle and their family.
